Any sniff that the Aussies might have had of repeating their heroics from the previous game, was dumped in the bin rather early. The move to open with Conway was a masterstroke, as he and Guptill provided a wicketless, fluent powerplay. The latter then just tore into the bowling, Zampa especially to kill the game. Australia were clearly 15-20 runs short, and maybe, it was a good toss to lose for NZ who were tactically smarter with their selections.
