Game 6 of the Leafs vs. Lightning Round 1 NHL Playoff series goes tonight in Tampa Bay. Following a narrow 4-3 victory in Toronto on Tuesday, the Leafs are bringing the 3-2 series lead into this game. Toronto appears to have the momentum, but this series has been back and forth all along, and Tampa Bay are the defending Stanley Cup Champions with good reason. Toronto's strength thus far in the series has been the reliable contributions of their regular cast of top players. For Tampa Bay, with the Lightning has had great contributions from brand stars Nikita Kucherov (7 points) and Victor Hedman (7 points), some of their other stars have struggled a little in this series. Brayden Point, one of the Bolts' top scorers in the regular season (28G, 30A) has been held to just two points in this series. And Anthony Cirelli, who really found his mark as a young contributor during this season (17 goals, 26 assists), has been held off the scoreboard entirely by the Leafs in this series. Tampa Bay does have the potential to get back in this series, but they'll need to rely stronger involvement from players like Point and Cirelli if they want to stay in contention to become three-peat Cup champions. Opening faceoff at 7:30PM EST. Puck Dudes will be following the game with Steve Dangle on the Sportsnet YouTube channel. #NHL #shorts

Tampa Bay Lightning vs Montreal Canadiens Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals! This is your Puck Dudes summary of the Canadiens' 3-2 overtime defeat of the Lightning in the fourth game of the series. The Tampa Bay Lightning are still in a commanding position, leading the Finals now 3-1 in games. The Montreal Canadiens continue to be in a ‘do or die’ position as the series goes back to Tampa Bay for game 5 on Wednesday. Paul and Adrian discuss how the Canadiens finally earned some respect with this win, but that Tampa Bay still look like the stronger team overall. The Puck Dudes also give their take on whether Josh Anderson's two goals this game provide some redemption following the criticism that he has received recently in the playoffs. The Lightning had the advantage in shots this game (34-21). It seems like the number of shots in this series is having little impact on the outcome of games. Montreal committed more turnovers this game than Tampa Bay (20-13). Montreal Canadiens goals were scored by: Josh Anderson (Nick Suzuki & Cole Caufield) Alexander Romanov (Jake Evans) Josh Anderson (Cole Caufield) Tampa Bay Lightning goals were scored by: Barclay Goodrow (Ryan McDonagh, Blake Coleman) Patrick Maroon (Mathieu Joseph, Tyler Johnson) The Canadiens were almost certainly approaching this game with the “just need to focus on this one game” attitude, and it obviously worked. But looking at the big picture, the Habs would still need three more wins to take the Cup, and the task looks daunting. Only one team in Stanley Cup Finals history has returned from a 3-0 deficit to win it all: the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs accomplished that feat against the Detroit Red Wings. It’s not impossible, but the odds are stacked heavily against the Montreal Canadiens in their attempt to overcome the defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning.
