The Atlanta Hawks beat the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 128-124 in Game 1 of the 2nd round in the NBA playoffs. This is a reaction/postgame analysis of this game in which the Sixers lost game 1. The Hawks played fantastic for most of the game and had 3 20+ point scorers in Trae Young who had 35, Bogdan Bogdanovic who had 21, and John Collins who also had 21. The Sixers made far too many early mistakes to win this game despite a late comeback, that included turnovers, poor bench play, and bad coaching and effort in the first half. Adjustments were made but it was too late. Joel Embiid, who has a partially torn meniscus had 39 points, while Ben Simmons had 17 points and 10 assists, Tobias Harris had 21, and Seth Curry had 21 as well.
