This result is not all doom and gloom. In fact, West Ham United is still in with a chance to go through to the next round of the Europa League knockout stages if it manages to beat Sevilla next week. Being 1-0 down still isn't ideal, though. West Ham had a strong first half, but there was a void in the attack that would have been filled by Jarrod Bowen. Despite the best efforts of players such as Nikola Vlašić and Saïd Benrahma, the Hammers could not break Sevilla down. It's now time to rest in preparation for next Thursday.
