Historical Perspective on Patrick Ewing #LDBC #NBA #knicks

On this episode of Morning Historical Perspective, we'll look into one of the greatest Knick players in franchise history. Patrick Ewing played 15 seasons with the New York Knicks and led them to four Conference Finals appearances, and two NBA Finals appearances. Ewing was a 11 time All-Star, six time NBA All second team, a former first team player in 1990, two Olympic gold medals, and member of the 50 greatest players in NBA History. When you look at his individual accomplishments, Ewing achieve everything possible except winning a championship. As great as Ewing was, he didn't elevate his game to another level in big moments during the Playoffs. Ewing had too many terrible performances against Chicago, Indiana, and Miami during the 90s that prevented the Knicks from a championship. Let me know what you guys think?

Heat vs Bucks (Game 2 post game thoughts) #LDBC
Heat vs Bucks (Game 2 post game thoughts) #LDBC

The Miami Heat win Game 2 against the Milwaukee Bucks, putting the title favorites in a 0-2 defict. The Bucks gave this game away in the final seconds as Giannis fouled Jimmy Butler with the score tied at 114-114. Butler made both free throws to win the game. I will say that the foul was soft, but Giannis didn't need help his teammate Wesley Matthews on Jimmy Butler. He had him under control and played great defense. If Butler made the shot against great defense, you can live with the results, but Giannis did it to himself and hurt his team. But Bucks did it to themselves by not matching Miami's aggressiveness from the opening tip and fell behind early. This is happening in the first two games as Goran Dragic and Jimmy Butler are having their way against Milwaukee's defense. Plus, I will say their were too many touch fouls, but great teams adjust to the officating and the Bucks didn't adjust. This took a while before the Bucks started to figure it out in the second half. I will have more on this game tomorrow afternoon, but let me know what you guys think?
