FORT WORTH, TX - TCU (13-4) came up short to Texas (15-5) 73-50 after a very rough shooting day for the Frogs. What started off as a great first half did not end the way everyone expected. The Frogs started off with stellar defense and had five blocks in the first eight minutes of the game. The blocks were led by Emanuel Miller who had three of the five. TCU went into a shooting slump midway through the first half and Texas started to pull away. Texas took a 21-10 lead with 9:30 minutes remaining in the half. TCU couldn't buy a bucket to save them and to make matters worse their defense started to become lazy. The Frogs went out rebounded 24-14 in the first half, giving the Longhorns second chance opportunities that they capitalized on. TCU went 0-9 from beyond the arc, not making a three-pointer the entire first half and shto 28 percent from the floor. The Frogs didn't score for eight minutes straight until 20 seconds left in the half. TCU went into the locker room down 41-23. Mike Miles led the Frogs going into the half with nine points. The second half started and ended the same, Texas held the 20-point lead the remainder of the game due to poor shooting and bad defense by the Frogs. The Longhorns continued their climb as TCU just couldn't get anything to fall their way. The Frogs were 1-12 from three when the 10 minute mark hit in the second half. Texas had a 59-35 lead at the 10 minute mark. TCU ended the night 2-of-16 from the three-point line, shooting 12 percent from beyond the arc. Mike Miles led with 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists. TCU will be back here in Fort Worth on Saturday to try and redeem themselves against No. 19 LSU. It's an early one here in Schollmaier Arena, tip off is at 11 AM. UniversityofTexas #TCU #Big12MensBasketball
