Habs get destroyed 8-4 by the Winnipeg Jets in wild game | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 54

The Montreal Canadiens played tonight in Winnipeg against the Jets and would end up losing to them by a final score of 8-4 in regulation. It would be a wild 1st period for the Jets and Habs as Winnipeg would score 4 unanswered to start the game from Evgeny Svechnikov, Kyle Connor, Adam Lowry, and Mark Scheifele but the Canadiens would cue the comeback starting with Josh Anderson twice then Artturi Lehkonen to make it 4-3 into the 2nd period. In said 2nd period it would be Josh Anderson getting his 1st career NHL hat trick to tie the game up however Andrew Copp would make it 5-4 Jets on the power-play to lead the game headed into the 3rd period. In said 3rd period goals from Mark Scheifele, Adam Lowry, and Paul Statsny would give the Winnipeg Jets the 8-4 victory in regulation. With this loss the Montreal Canadiens are now 13-34-7 with 33 points currently the 2nd worst team in the NHL standings.
