Iowa Wolves vs. Santa Cruz Warriors 2/14/2022 - Condensed Game

The Santa Cruz Warriors held off the Iowa Wolves, 119-113, on Monday night at Wells Fargo Arena in the final game before the NBA G League all-star break. Iowa (8-7) came back from 15 down to get within two points at 113-111 with 1:15 left in the game. Vincent Edwards, who scored a game-high 25 points for the Wolves, made a pair of free throws to pull Iowa the closet in the game since the second quarter. But Jerome Robinson was fouled on the next Santa Cruz (7-10) possession. Robinson, who paced the Warriors with 25 points, made both free throws and the team made their free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win in the first meeting between the teams this season. The teams will play two more games each other starting on March 23 and 25. Monday night the first two quarters were tightly contested with neither team holding a lead more than single digits. Helped by 10 team three-pointers, the Warriors led 59-52, at halftime. Seven different Santa Cruz players made at least one three-pointer in the first half. Chris Silva, who had been in the NBA since mid-December, made an immediate impact for Iowa nearly recording a triple-double with 18 points and nine rebounds in the first half. The Warriors added to their lead with a big third quarter outscoring the Wolves, 31-26. Leandro Bolmaro scored 14 points in the game after being assigned to Iowa in the morning. Bolmaro played a key role in helping Iowa fight back scoring five points in the run that got the team within two. Brandon Sampson also had 14 points in the game.
