Michael Jordan 2000 Episode 12 (2002 EC1R vs. Philadelphia 76ers) MJ vs. Iverson
MJ has been open with his love for Allen Iverson. The Last Dance director got the job from Jordan because of his past work on Iverson. Now in Jordan's 2nd season, he gets to duel with Iverson in the 1st round of the playoffs. The 76ers finished 37-45 in 2002. The team is pretty much Iverson and then everyone else. I'm not gonna spoil anything other than Iverson is by far the best player we have played against in this whole simulation so far. It's not close. In terms of the top 5 there I would say: 1. Allen Iverson 2. Grant Hill 3. Ray Allen 4. Stephon Marbury 5. Kobe Bryant Keep in mind these are mostly Eastern Conference. We haven't played in depth a crazy amount against teams in the West. But I don't see anyone passing Iverson for a while after this series.

MJ has made the Finals 2 years in a row, winning his rookie year. However, we were swept by the Blazers in 2002 in a finals rematch. Jason Williams has left for the Knicks in free agency and we trade Peja Stojakovic for Andrei Kirilenko. I'm less focused on getting crazy stars around Jordan and more so the right pieces. We have a core of MJ (turns 24 this season), Elton Brand, Kirilenko, Ben Wallace, and James Posey. The depth of the league is ever increasing and with a big target already after winning a ring his rookie year, let's see what Jordan can do in year 3.

The Miami Heat finished 62-20 led by Alonzo Mourning and Jamal Mashburn. We beat them in the 1st round of last year's playoffs but they've leveled up. Tim Hardaway left for Denver but the Heat have added wing pieces such as Doug Christie and have great chemistry. If the Bulls are going to make the NBA Finals for a 2nd year in a row, it's going to be a very difficult challenge.
