FORT WORTH, TX – TCU moves to 16-5 after beating Oklahoma State tonight 77-73 and will split the series as the Cowboys defeated them earlier in the season by one. Chuck O’Bannon Jr. led for the Frogs with 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists. He shot 3 of six from beyond the arc and his clutch three-point shooting midway through the second half compelled TCU to a 10 point lead. Emanuel Miller added 16 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Damion Bough also contributed 15 points, three rebounds, and eight assists. The game got a little bit too close for comfort with four minutes remaining in regulation. TCU was getting out hustled and Oklahoma State came back within one point. Head Coach Jamie Dixon said post game, “we played really good defense and rebounded really well until about four minutes remaining in the game and I think that’s from fatigue. We have a lot of guys playing a lot of minutes right now because we are banged up.” TCU was without Mike Miles today for the second straight game due to sprained wrists. He will be evaluated this week and will decide if he is going to play against No. 9 Texas Tech on Saturday later in the week. The game came down to two three throws made by Eddie Lampkin to give TCU a four point lead with 20 seconds remaining in the game. Lampkin ended the night with 10 points and 12 rebounds and secured his fourth double-double of the season. The Frogs shot very well tonight at 47 percent from the field and 35 percent from beyond the arc. But what really set them apart from Oklahoma State tonight was their rebounding. TCU is ranked third in the country behind Purdue and Kentucky in rebounding and they showed that tonight, out rebounding the Cowboys 37-24. The Frogs did give up 17 turnovers and that’s something that Coach Dixon said they need to work on but overall they are improving. #TCU #OklahomaState #Big12 Basketball The Frogs have yet to lose back-to-back games this season which show they have resilience. They are going to make a run for the tournament and they will do so one game at a time. TCU sits at 16-5 and 5-4 in the Big 12 conference (fifth). They will head to Lubbock on Saturday to take on No. 9 Texas Tech. Tip off is set for 3 PM
