The Montreal Canadiens would play at home tonight against the Edmonton Oilers and would lose in embarrassing fashion getting out-played, and outscored 3-0. Jujhra Khaira would open the scoring to make it 1-0 before a Shea Weber own goal credited to Darnell Nurse made it 2-0. In the 3rd period Tyson Barrie would seal the deal with a 3-0 goal on the Oilers PP. With this loss the Canadiens are now 9-4-2 and are slowly falling down the ranks of the Northern Division.
