CANVEY ISLAND V BIGGLESWADE FC 03.OCTOBER.2020
FACup QR3. What a game! 4 goals and a penalty shoot out for the 289 fans inside Park Lane. I got goosebumps doing the edit! 2-2 after full time, 16 penalties were needed to settle this tie. Canvey settled straight away and were 2-0 up inside 17 minutes, Biggleswade halved the deficit before the break and equalised mid way through the second half. Canvey sealed the win 4-3 on penalties with their keeper saving 5! Congrats to them and good luck for the next round, we at BFC have a home league fixture on Tuesday 06.October to look forwards to. Never liked fake pitches, grass roots, not 3G roots football. Great for training, but you cant beat grass! Oh and that's not just because we lost either!! Yaxley overran Biggleswade FC straight from the off and deserved to eventually win 2-0 and go through in this F.A.Trophy qualifying round 2. BIGGLESWADE FC V AFC DUNSTABLE 04.SEPTEMBER.2021
These two teams from the same division met in this F.A.Cup qualifying Round 1 fixture. AFC Dunstable hadn't beaten FC in 3 away attempts, that was put right as they won 1-0, an indirect free kick, that was deflected in! had it not hit another player, it would have been chalked off. That was the decisive moment as earlier FC had missed a penalty at 0-0. We now concentrate on the league, here again on Saturday. Originally scheduled to be played at Bedford Town's ground (home to Biggleswade FC), a late switch due to the weather, meant we went to Kettering's ground for this friendly. 229 watched Southern League v National League. Very exciting game saw Kettering win 2-0. Sean Dyche looked in too. Thanks Kettering for making it happen. BFC have their final friendly on Saturday, sadly I booked a staycation and so my next game for you will be our first league game of the new season on 14th. August .2021 at home to Berkhamsted.
