WHY teams should WATCH OUT for the SURGING Charlotte Hornets

Twitter: https://www.Twitter.com/SeanCostelloJr So the Charlotte Hornets are a team that i’ve seen in the top of the league for offensive stats while researching stats for videos on other teams, but now that the team’s win four straight games and is 0.1 points off of leading the league in points per game I think it’s a good time to break down the Hornets play thus far this season. The Charlotte Hornets beat the 76ers by a score of 109-98 to end the Sixers 7 game win streak and the Hornets tremendous second quarter is what helped the team get last night’s victory. Gordon Hayward’s offense is what helped the Hornets the most last night as he dropped 30 points on a tremendous 13-16 shooting clip from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line. Hayward also had 4 rebounds, 7 assists and a great 3 steals as well. Last night was not the only impressive win the Hornets have gotten over this win streak as they also beat the 2021 NBA champions the Milwaukee Bucks in two straight games, im sure many of you are aware Jrue Holiday has been in Health and Safety protocols so he didn’t participate in either of those games, but those are still impressive wins for this young Hornets team nevertheless. Rather than just look at this win streak, let’s take a look at how well this Hornets team has fared for the entire 2021-22 NBA Season. The Hornets are in 2nd place for most points per game, 9th place for best field goal percentage and third in best three point percentage. The Hornets are also superb in terms of assists per game as well as lowest turnovers and most steals per game. The Hornets have also protected the rim well as they’ve averaged the 8th most blocks per game. The Hornets do have one red flag though and that is their defense. The Hornets have the fifth worst defensive rating this season, however ever since December 20th the Charlotte Hornets have the 9th best defensive rating in the NBA. So the Charlotte Hornets are clearly improving their defensive. The Hornets individual players have also played well as 6 players are averaging double digit points per game numbers and Terry Rozier, Kelly Oubre and Gordon Hayward have had great performances as of late. So this Charlotte Hornets team is very potent and also improving their flaws and today i’ll show you all the numbers that prove how much potential this Hornets team has.
