Former NBA Player Isaiah Thomas scores 19 points for Team USA in a FIBA Qualifying game against the Bahamas in his return to professional basketball action. In the game, both Thomas and Joe Johnson were solid as the pair combined for 30 points, however, the big question after the game is why Isaiah Thomas isn't on an NBA team right now and when will he be? At the moment, many teams are likely to allow Thomas to use the FIBA games as a way to ramp himself up for NBA-level games so he may not be signed immediately, but he will likely be at some point during the 2021 NBA season. In his last season in the NBA, Thomas played for the Washington Wizards and averaged over 12 points per game and 3.7 assists. He has also played for the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers. So, what do you guys think? Don't forget to like/comment and subscribe! Houston Rockets star Christian Wood, who is receiving All-Star consideration this season, left Thursday’s game at Memphis after rolling the same right ankle that caused him to miss three games in January. .In 20 minutes against the Grizzlies, Wood had 17 points (70% FG) and 7 rebounds as Houston raced out to a 21-point lead at the time of his departure. For the 2020-21 season, Wood entered Thursday averaging 22.3 points (55.3% FG) and 10.4 rebounds in 31.9 minutes per game, including 39.7% on 3-pointers. Wood’s injury comes at an awful time for the surging Rockets (10-10), who entered Thursday with wins in six of their last seven games. Houston’s next game comes Saturday at home against the San Antonio Spurs. Considering that Wood was wheeled off, and that it appeared to be a reaggravation of a previous injury, it would be a surprise if he can return quickly. “I don’t know,” Silas said postgame. “It didn’t look great.” “It was difficult for me,” he added. “I had to sit down and collect my thoughts and gather myself. As good as he has been playing, a breakout season, and doing everything we need him to do. … Yeah, it sucks.” ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reports that Wood will undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the severity, as well as a potential timetable to return. So, what do you guys think? Will Wood return sooner rather than later?
