This season gets better and better for West Ham United fans. Not only is the club exceeding expectations in the Carabao Cup and the Europa League, but it has beaten both Manchester teams to progress to the quarter-finals. It took a penalty shootout to decide the winner, but it was a deserved win in the end for the Hammers. The performance in regular time helped greatly and was strong. Alphonse Areola was excellent in goal, and the defence played tight football. The French goalkeeper got praise for his reflexes and reading of the game. Mark Noble, Jarrod Bowen, Craig Dawson, Aaron Cresswell and Saïd Benrahma scored their spot kicks to win the game. The celebrations were loud and aplenty.
