Afghanistan vs Ireland | Full Match Highlights | 1st T20I | Sharjah Ireland (149/6) put on an incredible all-round performance to beat Afghanistan (111) by 38 runs in the first T20I in Sharjah to take 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series on Friday, March 15 2024. Afghanistan opted to bowl first and led by the skipper Rashid Khan (3/19) and the debutant Nangyal Kharoti (2/16) restricted Ireland to 149/6 in the first inning. However, Afghanistan could not capitalize on their batting as kept losing wickets from the very first ball. Mohammad Ishaq Rahimi scored a quickfire 30 runs but the effort wasn't enough to take Afghanistan closer to the target as they were bundled out for 111 runs to lose the game by 38 runs.
