Ojeda giving up only one run in the seventh sparked by a double by veteran Rick Dempsey is replace by Don Aase in the 8th as Ojeda goes seven innings allowing one run on four hits striking out three while walking four. Randy Myers comes in and shuts the door on Los Angeles getting his 21st save of the 1989 season while John Wetteland goes four innings allowing three runs on five hits and 2 strikeouts and two BBs gets the loss his fifth of the season.
