** VOTING NOW CLOSED ** The FIFA Puskas Award is given to the player judged to have scored the most aesthetically significant goal, regardless of championship, gender or nationality and scored without the result of luck or a mistake and in support of fair play. A list of 11 candidates is drawn up by an experts' panel. From that final shortlist, a public vote will ensue, with the three winners from that first voting stage becoming the final nominees, where a second voting stage will open. Erik Lamela – who departed Tottenham Hotspur FC for Sevilla FC in July 2021 – got the nod for his outrageous goal in the north London derby in March 2021. This is the second straight FIFA Puskas Award to be won for a goal scored in a Tottenham shirt, after Son Heungmin claimed the prize for his strike against Burnley FC last time round.
