The Montreal Canadiens would play the Vancouver Canucks at home in the Bell Center, winning 6-2 with a massive rebound following the first regulation loss of the season. Nick Suzuki would open the scoring exactly 1 minute into the game before Artturi Lehkonen would score in his 300th NHL game on a shorthanded goal. Brandon Sutter would make it a 2-1 game but Jeff Petry would score before the end of the 1st to make it 3-1. Brendan Gallagher and Jeff Petry would score in the 2nd period to make it 5-1 before Tyler Toffoli would score his 7th of the season for a 6-1 lead but Jay Beagle would make it 6-2 before the end of the game.
