A look at the goaltenders from the 1971-72 National Hockey League season as seen through their 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards. Eight of the 26 goalies pictured are now enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame, including: Bernie Parent, Jacques Plante, Ken Dryden, Rogatien Vachon, Tony Esposito, Ed Giacomin, Gerry Cheevers and Gump Worsley. All 14 teams that competed in the 1971-72 NHL campaign are represented. Most had two goalies in the set. However, the Montreal Canadiens, California Golden Seals and Chicago Blackhawks had only one goalkeeper in the set.
