There was a NIACC connection at the Field of Dreams minor league game with the Cedar Rapids Kernels facing the Quad Cities River Bandits. Former NIACC assistant coach Shawn Schlechter is hitting coach for the Kernels and ex-Trojan Harrison Beethe is pitcher for the River Bandits.
