Qarabağ FK
Qarabağ Futbol Klubu, commonly known as Qarabağ is an Azerbaijani professional football club, based in Baku, that competes in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the top flight of Azerbaijani football. The club originates from Agdam, but has not played in its hometown since 1993 due to the First Nagorno-Karabakh War.

Qarabağ FK has participated in 14 editions of the club competitions governed by UEFA, the chief authority for football across Europe. Neftçi PFK

The club was founded in 1906, changing their name to their current name on 18 March 1937.

Karabakh Khanate
The Karabakh Khanate was a semi-independent Turkic Caucasian khanate on the territories of modern-day Armenia and Azerbaijan established in about 1748 under Iranian suzerainty in Karabakh and adjacent areas.The Karabakh Khanate came under the control of the Russian Empire in 1805 during the course of the Russo-Persian War . The Russian annexation of Karabakh was not formalized until the Treaty of Gulistan in 1813, when Fath-Ali Shah of Qajar Iran officially ceded Karabakh to Tsar Alexander I of Russia.
