Since the close of the last NPFL chapter, 2015/2016 season in November which saw FC Ifeanyi Ubah finish 4th and the confirmation of the Anambra Warriors as Continental Ambassadors come the 2016/2017 chapter of the NPFL last December, His Excellency, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah has sunk at least over 500 million Naira into the stadium. The monies were spent on the follwoing areas: 1. Importation of natural grasses from Holland and intensive fertilizer injection to yield the best natural turf in Nigeria if not the best privately owned natrual turf in Africa 2. Acquisition of customised and branded spectator seats. Over 100,000 of these hard plastic seats have been acquired for the comfort and pleasure of our esteemed fans who are the main reason behind our astronomical success. The seats come in different colors but are of the same high quality and standard and also flexible on the back to avoid back pains when leaned on. 3. Installation of the FCIU seats. Customised bolts, nuts and rivets were used in the installation of about 60,000 seats. This ensures that every dedicated sqaure inch of the spectator arena, has a seat which eliminates the need to fight for or struggle for seats. 4. Construction of VIP Lounges and Parlors. The Dr Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium will come equipped with private and customised VIP Lounges and Parlours for fans of the club who which to indulge in experiencing the unique entertainment provided by the Anambra Warriors in grand style. 5. Acquisition of FIFA/CAF approved goal posts. Ahead of the continental engagement, massive upgrades have been undertaken to meet the required specifications as enumerated by the relevant authorities which include but not limited to the acquisition of approved goal posts and the accessories. 6. Installation of Safety Barriers. Safety and Security is paramount at Dr Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium, Nnewi which is highlighted by the installation of safety barriers to prevent pitch encroachment and discourage crowd unrest thereby, guaranteeing a very safe environment fit for everyone: mothers, children, family even pregnant women and men. 7. Initial Casting For Stadium Cover. The stadium will be covered to protect fans from the elements during games which will allow them enjoy matches in the utmost comfort and ambience.
