Jake Oettinger and the Dallas Stars defeat the St. Louis Blues 2-1 in a shootout to win the Western Conference! Jason Robertson scored in the skills competition as the Stars finished with the 2nd most points and wins in franchise history. Mason Marchment scored the game tying goal to force the game to OT and Dallas finished off an incredible season in style. Joey goes into depth about why this Stars team has such a great chance to make a deep postseason run as they await their first opponent. That opponent will be either the Vegas Golden Knights or the Los Angelas Kings. The Stars swept the season series vs the Kings, but we're on the other end of the results against Vegas. Joey would rather play the Kings even though they boast a top 3 defense in terms of goals against this season. Who would you want to play? The final segment ponders the return of defensemen Jani Hakanpaa. Nils Lundkvist played just under six minutes in the finale, so essentially the Stars are playing with five defenders. The Stars need Hakanpaa to be healthy, because playing five defensemen will eventually catch up to Dallas if it continues into the postseason.
