St Mirren Football Club is a Scottish professional football club based in Paisley, Renfrewshire, that competes in the Scottish Premiership after winning the 2017–18 Scottish Championship. Founded in 1877, the team has two nicknames, the Buddies and the Saints.

2007–08 St Mirren F.C. season

The 2007–08 season was St Mirren's second consecutive season in the Scottish Premier League, and they were looking to improve on last season's 11th placing ahead of Dunfermline. They also competed in the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup, however were the subject of a shock defeat in the League Cup by 3rd Division East Fife.

The most notable change at the club during the close season was the replacement of both manager Gus MacPherson and assistant manager Andy Millen after 7 seasons of managing the club.
