Lincoln City Football Club is a professional association football club based in the city of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. The team compete in League One, the third tier of the English football league system.

2007–08 Lincoln City F.C. season

During the 2007–08 season Lincoln City F.C. played in Football League Two after finishing last season in fifth place in the Football League Two and losing another play-off semi-final the previous season. It marked Lincoln's 101st season in the Football League, becoming one of only 26 clubs to have completed 100 or more seasons since the league's formation in 1888.

Grimsby Town Football Club is a professional football club based in the seaside town of Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, England, that competes in League Two, the fourth-highest division overall in the English football league system. Nicknamed "the Mariners", the club was founded as Grimsby Pelham in 1878, changed its name to Grimsby Town a year later and moved to its current stadium, Blundell Park, in 1898.

The 2008–09 season was Grimsby Town's 5th season in League Two. The club were still managed by Alan Buckley until September, when he was dismissed after poor pre-season and poor start to the club's League campaign.

Grimsby Town Football Club entered the 2006–07 season as a member of League Two for the 3rd season on the trot. The club was managed by new appointment Graham Rodger.

2009–10 Grimsby Town F.C. season

Grimsby Town Football Club entered the 2009–10 as a member of Football League Two for the 6th season on the trot. The club are still aiming to leave Blundell Park within the next few seasons.
