Doch viele Spitzensport-Träume platzen aus dem Nichts. Top-Athlet:innen können in einem einzigen Moment alles verlieren, wofür sie jahrelang hart gearbeitet haben. Unsere Reporterin Lena Oldach hat selbst von einer #Sportkarriere geträumt – die Herausforderungen im #Spitzensport kennt sie. Sie begleitet die Kunstturnerin Emma Malewski, die in Chemnitz ihren Traum von den Olympischen Spielen verfolgt. Warum opfert sie ihr Teenagerleben, um sich dem Turnen zu widmen? Louisa Grauvogel ist Siebenkämpferin und war auch auf dem Weg zu #Olympia. Mit Mitte 20 ist sie aus dem Sport ausgestiegen. Heute bereut sie, so viel für ihren Sport geopfert zu haben und sieht das System Kadersport kritisch. Auch im Fußball herrscht enormer Druck und starke Konkurrenz. Tausende träumen davon, eines Tages mit dem Adler auf der Brust auf den Platz zu laufen. Nur zwei Prozent der angehenden Fußballern schaffen es in die Profi-Liga. Lena reist nach Portugal zum U17 Algarve Cup, wo der Nachwuchs gesichtet wird. Wie entscheiden die Menschen, die nach Siegertypen suchen und Talente aussortieren?
