The Deggendorf Fire are an ice hockey team in Deggendorf, Germany. They play in the Oberliga, the third level of ice hockey in Germany.

The Hannover Indians are a professional German ice hockey team and public limited company from Hanover in Lower Saxony which was renamed in 2006 from the Kleefelder Eissportverein to the EC Hannover Indians. Since 2002 the team had played in the Oberliga and was promoted to the 2nd Division in 2008.

Deggendorf is one of the 299 single member constituencies used for the German parliament, the Bundestag. One of forty five districts in Bavaria, it covers the districts of Deggendorf and Freyung-Grafenau.The constituency was created for the 1949 election, the first election in West Germany after World War II. With the exception of the first election in 1949, which was won by the Bavaria Party, all elections in the district have been won by the Christian Social Union .
