Monaco in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005

Monaco was represented by Lise Darly with the song "Tout de Moi" in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. Lise Darly started her career in 1996 and has won several competitions, such as the ‘Graine de Star Tour’ in Mandelieu, where she came first out of 100 participants.

Monaco's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul was the first after a twenty-five-year break. They were represented by Maryon with the song "Notre Planète".

Monaco in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971

Monaco was represented by French singer Séverine, with the song '"Un banc, un arbre, une rue", at the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 3 April in Dublin. The song was internally chosen by broadcaster TMC and went on to bring Monaco their only Eurovision victory.

Monaco in the Eurovision Song Contest 1979

Monaco was represented by French singer Laurent Vaguener, with the song '"Notre vie c'est la musique", at the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 31 March in Jerusalem. The song was chosen internally by broadcaster TMC and would become Monaco's last Eurovision entry for 25 years as TMC decided to opt out of the contest from 1980, and did not return until 2004 – the longest ever absence by a country which subsequently returned to the contest.
