Mississippi State Bulldogs football team represents Mississippi State University in the sport of American football. The Bulldogs compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

During the 1930s the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, a college football team representing Louisiana Tech University, played in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association until 1939, when the team played in the Louisiana Intercollegiate Conference (LIC). The Bulldogs' best performance that decade was in 1931, when they won all their matches.

During the 1980s the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football team twice won the Southland Conference, then left that Conference in 1986, joining the newly created non–football American South Conference as a charter member, becoming an independent team playing in NCAA Division I. The team reached the finals of the Division I-AA Championship in 1984.

Davis Wade Stadium

Davis Wade Stadium, officially known as Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field is the home venue for the Mississippi State Bulldogs football team. Originally constructed in 1914 as New Athletic Field, it is the second-oldest stadium in the Football Bowl Subdivision behind Georgia Tech's Bobby Dodd Stadium, and the fourth oldest in all of college football behind Penn's Franklin Field, Harvard Stadium, and Bobby Dodd Stadium.

2007 Mississippi State Bulldogs football team

The 2007 Mississippi State Bulldogs football team represented Mississippi State University during the 2007 college football season. The team's head coach was Sylvester Croom, who served his fourth season in the position.

2009 Mississippi State Bulldogs football team

The 2009 Mississippi State Bulldogs football team represented Mississippi State University during the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Mississippi State has been a member of the Southeastern Conference since the league's inception in 1932, and has participated in that conference's Western Division since 1992.
