India vs Afghanistan : ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match, 22nd June 2019

Afghanistan vs India: ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match Analysis Avinash Singh | Tirthankar Sarkar #WC2019 #INDvsAFG #IndiavsAfghanistan #india #teamIndia After a five-day gap, the Indian cricket team resumes its campaign in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Saturday at The Rose Bowl, eyeing easy points against winless Afghanistan. India have been hit by the exit of Shikhar Dhawan from the World Cup and they are without Bhuvneshwar Kumar for at least two games, but are still the favourites in match 28 of the tournament. Vijay Shankar turned up for the pre-match press conference, as good as sign as any that he is fit to play after being hit on the toe by Jasprit Bumrah in the nets on Wednesday. With seven points, India are fourth on the World Cup points table and will expect to move to nine points at The Rose Bowl. Afghanistan have lost all five of their matches, and now face the tournament heavyweights. To be fair to them, the teams they could logically expect to beat given their success against them in the 2018 Asia Cup, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, lie ahead. Afghanistan fought against Australia in their opening match in Bristol, and despite conceding 397 against England in their previous fixture they were able to bat out 50 overs in reply, scoring 247/8. That is the kind of score they were able to put up in last year’s Asia Cup, to give themselves a chance at winning ODIs. But in England, on flat surfaces at small grounds, they have struggled. A big factor in their 0-5 record at this World Cup is the absence of consistency from their two biggest stars, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan. Their skipper Gulbadin Naib accepted that the level of cricket Afghanistan are capable of playing has not been on show in England, and hoped that a new day brought better performances. Teams: India: Virat Kohli (c), MS Dhoni (wk), Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul, Vijay Shankar, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, Dinesh Karthik, Mohammed Shami Afghanistan: Gulbadin Naib (c), Ikram Ali Khil (wk), Noor Ali Zadran, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Asghar Afghan, Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran, Rashid Khan, Dawlat Zadran, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Hazratullah Zazai, Samiullah Shinwari, Aftab Alam, Hamid Hassan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Web: https://www.hindustanheadlines.in Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/khelsangram Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/khelsangram/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/KhelSangram Presented by Avinash Singh, Khel Sangram, hindustan headlines Label : KAT Media ©

India vs New Zealand : ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match Analysis, 13th June 2019
India vs New Zealand : ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match Analysis, 13th June 2019

India vs New Zealand: ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match Analysis Avinash Singh | Akashdeep Shrivastav #WorldCup #INDvsNZ #india #teamIndia The only two unbeaten teams in the tournament are set to face each other at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Thursday (June 13). Unfortunately, though, all eyes are trained elsewhere - upwards towards the sky, to be precise. Persistent rain and a 'yellow warning' from Monday morning has put a cloud - no pun intended - over the match between India and New Zealand. The cold weather forced both teams to stay indoor for a couple of days; New Zealand practiced indoor on Tuesday while India literally stayed indoor. Rain relented a little on the eve of the game, allowing teams to peep out for outdoor training. India's batsmen braved the drizzle and hit the nets, receiving throwdowns. Vijay Shankar was the first to bat - perhaps an indication that he could slot in in the middle order given India have lost Shikhar Dhawan to injury. Dinesh Karthik, the other contendor for the slot, had a fairly long session too. India's bowlers stayed away from the session - why would they risk slipping and injuring themselves given the wetness of the outfield. The forced change involves KL Rahul getting back to the opening position. There's no doubt he'd enjoy it too; he averages 56 there from seven innings while he averages just 16.66 from eight innings elsewhere in the order. His only ODI ton and two half-centuries have come as an opener. Dhawan and Rohit Sharma is the better opening pair, but Rahul isn't a bad third option at all. The rejig forces India to change their game-plan. They now have no left-handers in the batting unit, unless they play Ravindra Jadeja which is unlikely. But India will believe they have all bases covered. The manner in which they won the first two games - against tough opposition - will give them confidence. India had all-round victories in both the games. The first one, against South Africa, was powered by bowlers. The second, against Australia, saw the batsmen combining for a strong performance. On the other hand, New Zealand's victories have largely been powered by their bowlers. They skittled out Sri Lanka for 136 and Afghanistan for 172. Between the two games, they also bowled out Bangladesh for 244. Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson and Jimmy Neesham have been among the wickets for New Zealand, while Trent Boult has largely been a silent supporter. The conditions in Nottingham will excite Boult - if he swings the ball, he can run through the Indian line up as he has done on a few occasions. The wicket in Trent Bridge is known for being batsmen friendly, but West Indies showed against Pakistan and Australia that you can trouble teams with raw pace. The pitch has been under cover for three days, and the dampness should help bowlers. Pace and bounce off the wicket, swing in the air - New Zealand have a perfect attack to utilise conditions on offer in Henry, Ferguson and Boult. New Zealand have picked 30 wickets from three games, but their batsmen are yet to be tested properly. The only time that happened slightly was in the Bangladesh game, when they huffed and puffed to a two-wicket win chasing 245. India could pose a different challenge, as was evident in the recent series in New Zealand. India will take confidence from that win, while New Zealand can take confidence from their victory in the warm-up match before the World Cup. Much will depend on the toss too; whoever wins is likely to field first given all the factors. Teams: India: KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli(capt), Vijay Shankar, MS Dhoni(w), Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah. New Zealand: Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson(capt), Ross Taylor, Tom Latham(wk), James Neesham, Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Web: https://www.hindustanheadlines.in Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/khelsangram Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/khelsangram/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/KhelSangram Presented by Avinash Singh, Khel Sangram, hindustan headlines Label : KAT Media ©

India vs South Africa : ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match Analysis, 5th June 2019
India vs South Africa : ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match Analysis, 5th June 2019

South Africa vs India : ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match Analysis Avinash Singh | Akashdeep Shrivastav #WC2019 #INDvsSA #india #teamIndia India have played South Africa four times in the tournament but emerged victorious only once. And when India take on South Africa in Southampton on June 5, they will certainly look to repeat their showing in the 2015 World Cup. Besides winning the trophy twice, the record in the World Cup that India cherish the most is their unbeaten record against Pakistan in the quadrennial event. However, there is a team against which the Men in Blue have managed to win just once in World Cup, and that’s South Africa. India have played South Africa four times in the tournament but emerged victorious only once. And when India take on South Africa in Southampton on June 5, they will certainly look to repeat their showing in the 2015 World Cup. 1992: India’s league encounter against South Africa in 1992 didn’t really matter for the 1983 champions given they had already been knocked out of the tournament. They had only defeated Pakistan and managed a close win against minnows Zimbabwe in the league round. After a 2-1 series win at home a few months earlier, the Mohammed Azharuddin-led side was hopeful of a good show against Kepler Wessels’ team. Batting first, India posted a 181-run target for the Proteas in 30 overs. But a good opening stand of 128 runs between Andrew Hudson and Peter Kirsten guided South Africa to a comfortable six-wicket win. 1996: Both teams were placed in different groups. South Africa were knocked out of the tournament after losing to West Indies, while India reached the semifinal where they lost to Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens. 1999: India began their campaign against South Africa at Brighton. Batting first, India posted a challenging 253, courtesy a fine 97 from Sourav Ganguly and a gritty 54 from Rahul Dravid. In response, South Africa lost their openers at a score of 22, giving India the edge. However, Jacques Kallis rescued the side with a determined 96. With the match evenly poised in the slog overs and South Africa needing 24 runs in 22 balls with four wickets in hand, the Indian captain brought in Ajit Agarkar to bowl the 47th over. Jonty Rhodes and Lance Klusner hammered Agarkar, collecting 17 runs off the over and secured an easy win with two overs spare. 2003 and 2007: While South Africa were knocked out in the first round of the 2003 edition, India reached the final but lost to defending champions Australia. In 2007, India were kicked out in the first round. 2011: India won all but one of their matches before winning the coveted trophy after 28 years. The only game the team lost was the league encounter against South Africa. The match is remembered more for Ashish Nehra’s poor bowling, rather than Sachin Tendulkar’s batting against a bowling attack including Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel. After a 146-run opening stand, India were eyeing a total in excess of 350. However, a collapse in the final overs reduced India to a competitive 296. South Africa batted sensibly and never looked out of the game. With 13 needed off the final over, MS Dhoni picked Ashish Nehra to bowl it, ignoring Harbhajan Singh who had conceded just five runs in his previous over. Robin Peterson made the chase look easy in the final over, and sealed the contest in the fourth ball of the last over. 2015: India and South Africa locked horns in the 13th match of the World Cup on February 22. Batting first, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan’s 137, Virat Kohli’s 46 and Ajinkya Rahane’s 79 took India to 307/7 in 50 overs. In reply, Proteas were bundled out for just 177 with 9 overs to spare. Faf du Plessis was the only batsman to have scored a half century. Economical spells from R Ashwin 10-0-41-3, Mohammed Shami 8-1-30-2 and Mohit Sharma 7-0-31-2 added to the Proteas’ woes. India outplayed South Africa by 130 runs and Dhawan was the Man of the Match. Teams: South Africa : Quinton de Kock (wk), Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis (c), Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Jean-Paul Duminy, Andile Phehlukwayo, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir, Tabraiz Shamsi India: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (c), Lokesh Rahul, MS Dhoni (wk), Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah ------------------------------------------------------------------ Web: https://www.hindustanheadlines.in Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/khelsangram Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/khelsangram/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/KhelSangram Presented by Avinash Singh, Khel Sangram, hindustan headlines Label : KAT Media ©
