West Ham lost 5-3 in the Betway Cup to Bournemouth yesterday afternoon. Albeit the game had no real significance, some of the individual performances were concerning as West Ham approach their first game of the Premier League season against Newcastle United. In this video, I highlighted our defensive weaknesses as a concern for next Saturday, as well as lack of depth in the striking department. The only real positive came from the emergence of Josh Cullen from the bench, who contributed two assists not long after replacing Manuel Lanzini. Let's hope West Ham can remedy these issues through smart recruitment before the transfer window closes in October. For more content, please subscribe to the West Ham Way YouTube channel!
