To finish out this simple plan, the Reds should sign a starting-caliber outfielder. The problems are, it won't be easy to trade Mike Moustakas, if impossible, for the Reds. It's too early for the Reds to trade Sonny Gray. The Reds front office will not pay for a closer, instead they will rely on waiver claim pitchers and retreads to get them through the year. The Reds will not fork over the necessary money to sign a starting-caliber outfielder.
