Bournemouth have never lost at St Andrews, and on Friday night in front of the cameras, this records continued in style, as Cherries put in a solid performance which showed a lot of promise to overcome Coventry 3-1. In this extended podcast, Sam Davis is joined by Jeff Hayward to discuss Friday's game. Whilst the showing was strong, the same typical traits of having large spells of possession without scoring were evident, but whilst the Sky Blues equalised in the first half, the second half was a different story. Indeed, the issues in the first half were corrected in the second with the help of midfield maestro Dan Gosling who scored a couple of goals to secure the win. AFC Bournemouth progressed through to the third round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday in an 11β10 penalty shootout victory over Crystal Palace at Dean Court. It was a team that mixed youth and experience that took to the field for the home side - against a Premier League outfit that boasted a number of names that are associated with having top flight experience.
