Peterborough are rock bottom of the league, have conceded the highest number of goals this season, and haven't won in 2022. Our rivals Huddersfield beat them 3-0 last week, so you'd think that a Cherries side with a point to prove would be licking their lips ahead of this encounter? Well, if they were, they didn't show it. Entertainment was AWOL as Posh claimed a deserved 1-1 draw against a misfiring Bournemouth side that continues to look a shadow of it's former self earlier this season. The only person in the stadium licking his lips was Reading manager Paul Ince, who was watching ahead of their visit to Dean Court next week. The formula is simple... work hard, press hard, and you'll beat AFC Bournemouth. No stats, no algorithms, no clever formations needed - just pure determination and doggedness. They had it. We lack it. The stats will tell you we had more of the ball and had nearly four times the shots. In reality, we tested their keeper the same amount as they tested ours. Frustration and anger came to the fore after the game at Dean Court on Tuesday night as baffled Cherries fans are yet again questioning how on earth we are managing to keep our heads above water after yet another abject performance against a side which, whilst dogged, were there for the taking. Peterborough are bottom for a reason, and whilst they showed *some* resolve, it was a match where AFC Bournemouth were ultimately the architects of their own demise. Exasperated yet ecstatic AFC Bournemouth fans reacted at full time outside Dean Court as Scott Parker’s men left it late to secure victory over Stoke City, thanks to last gasp strikes from Dom Solanke and Jamal Lowe. It was a performance which was similar to Blackpool, with little bite or fight for large parts of the game - however during the latter stages, the blue touch paper was seemingly lit, and Boscombe threw everything against the ten-man Potters. Cherries left it late against Blackpool on Saturday as Siriki Dembele popped up in injury time to notch a crucial winner that saw AFC Bournemouth form a cushion between second and third at the top of the Championship, after a last gasp 2-1 win against the Tangerines. The weekend was crazy - from the party atmosphere in The Manchester before the game, right through to the nightlife in Blackpool after hours - and we took our camera with us to capture it all, including the raucous scenes at full-time at Bloomfield Road.
