Tight Finish After A Punchy Stage | Itzulia Basque Country 2022 Stage 4 Highlights
Stage 4 could be breakaway heaven as the lumps and bumps come in abundance, promising us all an entertaining afternoon spectacle. At 25km to go, the riders will climb the Vivero ascent, which will extend for 6km at an average gradient of 6.3%. With just 19km to ride after the hill has been crested - 11km of which are pan-flat - the Vivero climb looks ideal for a race-winning attack to be made! Reduced Bunch Sprint After A Hard Day! | Itzulia Basque Country 2022 Stage 3 Highlights
After passing by the finish line in Laudio 80km into the stage, two laps of a circuit await with climbs to Opellora and Ozeka on each occasion. These idyllic villages lay on hilltops that the riders will have to tackle - Opellora for 1.1km at 13% and Ozeka for 3.6km at 7.4%. The 24km remaining after the last climb may dissuade some from attacking, or it may result in the GC battle being blown wide open.
