Anything but Football Episode 7: Recap of Rutgers/Northwestern and Illinois Preview
The Buckeyes are currently riding a nice two-game winning streak as they secured victories over a highly ranked Rutgers team and avenged their first loss to Northwestern this past week. No CJ Walker allowed Jimmy Sotos to step in place and help the Buckeyes get a nice win over Rutgers. However, Sotos went down and gave Meechie Johnson Jr. an opportunity to take Sotos' place. Matt and Mick gave their breakdowns of the big wins for Ohio State and talked about how the Buckeyes looked excellent on the boards at the RAC vs Rutgers. After that, both gave their analysis on how Duane Washington and co. were able to get buckets on an off night for EJ Liddell. Mick gave some insight into the Buckeyes basketball recruiting world at the end and told us about what Ohio State fans should expect of Bruce Thornton. This week on episode 4 of Anything but Football, Matt Goldman flies solo this week after Mick, unfortunately, could not make it. In this episode, I discuss how Ohio State had a lackluster performance in their first loss of the season to Purdue 67-60. I talk about the highs and lows of both starting 5’s and how the bench players for Ohio State did not contribute as Purdue did which helped secure the win. Also discussed is a preview of the upcoming matchup against UCLA in the CBS Sports Classic on Saturday at 4:15 pm and how this will be a big test for the Buckeyes before they continue regular-season action.
