The "Elite" Profile: Thomas Müller
Recorded July 17, 2020. The picture was taken on August 27, 2020, so the career stats are consistent with his career until this date. This is one of my "Elite" Profiles that I made where I describe what separates these athletes from other cream-of-the-crop athletes in their sports. Because Thomas Müller is one of the prime-age (30) "Elite" soccer players, his is the 104th "Elite" profile on my playlist, and his is my 24th Soccer "Elite" profile. In this episode, I break down the hype and the numbers as I decipher what makes Thomas Müller one of the world's best attacking midfielders ever. I used Transfermarkt and FootyStats.com to research his stats and accomplishments as an elite professional soccer player. I have only recorded the accomplishments he has achieved to this date, and I have logged this current 2019-20 season because his Bundesliga and Champions League seasons are complete as of August 27, 2020. My intent with the profiles is to provide my justification for referring to these particular athletes as not only great, but athletes that are performing at an "elite" level within their own sport. The "Elite" G.O.A.T. Profile: Kawhi Leonard
Recorded July 16, 2020. The picture was taken on August 18, 2020, so the career stats are consistent with his career until this date. This is one of the earliest G.O.A.T. Profiles that I made that separate these athletes from "The Elite". Because Kawhi Leonard is the youngest (29) of the G.O.A.T. level basketball players, his is the 15th G.O.A.T. profile on my playlist, and his is the 4th Basketball G.O.A.T. profile. In this episode, I break down each season of the Klaw's illustrious career to add context to the stats that I am showing. I used the Pro Basketball Reference database to research Kawhi's career NBA stats. Additionally, I used Wikipedia to cite the accolades and achievements that he has earned in his career. I have only recorded the accomplishments he has achieved to this date, and I have logged this current 2019-20 season because the regular season is complete as of August 18, 2020. I also used Wikipedia to cite the successes of San Diego State, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Toronto Raptors in past seasons to add context to my profile. My intent with the profiles is to provide my justification for referring to these particular athletes as not only elite, but "all-timers" within their own sport. Because Stephen Curry is the second-oldest (32) of the G.O.A.T. level basketball players, his is the 10th G.O.A.T. profile on my playlist, and his is the 2nd Basketball G.O.A.T. profile. In this episode, I break down each season of Curry's illustrious career to add context to the stats that I am showing. I used the Pro Basketball Reference database to research Steph's career NBA stats. Additionally, I used Wikipedia to cite the accolades and achievements that he has earned in his career.
