The New York Football Giants are coming to town TONIGHT to play our Washington Football Team in the 1st NFC East Matchup of the season. We don't play another division game until week 14 of the season (December 12th against Dallas), so this is a HUGE game. We begin by recapping how the New York Giants did in their first game against the Denver Broncos, a 27-13 loss. We discuss Daniel Jones performance, what the Broncos did well and what the Giants did poorly. We move to the final official injury report, which sees Shane Lemieux and Evan Engram both out for the game, and Saquon Barkley is "questionable", but he'll end up playing. What are the keys to the game on defense against the Giants offense? This is a statement game for our defensive line. Chase Young, Montez Sweat, Daron Payne, Jonathan Allen, Matt Ioannidis, and Tim Settle all have to bring their "A" game. KDot and Amit are both in sync with what needs to be done on that side of the ball. Switching sides of the ball, what does our offense need to do against the Giants defense? What are our expectations of Taylor Heinicke? Between Antonio Gibson, Logan Thomas and Terry McLaurin, who should be the most involved? Finally, we get to our predictions and prop bets that we like. Do we get our first victory of the season? Or do we fall to 0-2 and hit the panic button? Today is a big day. Let's find out if the Washington Football Team will reign victorious tonight together! Taylor Heinicke is officially the starter for the Washington Football Team! Heinicke posted the best PFF grade for a Washington QB in over 14 years when we played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wildcard round last season, and he went 11 of 15 for 122 yards and a TD against the Chargers this week. Amit and KDot could genuinely not be more excited for this moment, but not before offering our prayers and hopes for a speedy recovery to Ryan Fitzpatrick. Of course, we first talk about the game that led to Heinicke becoming the starter, a 20-16 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers this past Sunday has us at 0-1 on the season. We talk about the good, the bad, and the Ryan Fitzpatrick injury thanks to some poor O-line play. We then jump into the No Hate Debate, which team would you love to see come to Washington DC to play a local team? We go around the room and give our answers. Finally, we conclude with the State of the Union, your DC Sports wraparound coverage segment, covering the Mystics, Spirit, DC United, Nationals, Georgetown and Maryland soccer, as well as Maryland football. Michigan and Cade McNamara got off to a fantastic start! 47-14 win over Western Michigan and they are now obviously destined to make the College Football Playoff. Our Michigan man Matt Regan is back and tells you just how hype you should be if you're a Michigan fan. Amit, meanwhile, lost money on a 37.5 point spread that Fordham failed to cover, but Ryan Greenhagen (incorrectly identified as "Jared" Greenhagen) finished with 31 tackles and gained a new fan in Amit. The Wizards 2k Gaming team has won consecutive championships! Lautaro Cabrera does a deep dive into the basics of it: the format, the players, how they won it, etc. We even discuss if Team District Divided would have a shot at scoring a point against the back-to-back champions. In this week's No Hate Debate, we go around the horn and give you all our favorite 1v1 sport. Matt bends the rules a bit to give a creative, unconventional answer to the question. We conclude the show with the State of the Union, your DC sports wraparound coverage segment, which covers the Mystics, Spirit, Maryland Football + Soccer, Georgetown Soccer, DC United, and the Washington Football Team.
