Etapa 13 - Video resumen - Santiago de Compostela - Ferrol
Stephen Cummings, del BMC, se adjudicó la 13ª etapa de la Vuelta a España 2012, celebrada entre Santiago de Compostela y Ferrol sobre un recorrido de 172,8 kilómetros. El británico, de 31 años, quien fuera campeón del mundo y subcampeón olímpico en pista, sorprendió a sus compañeros de escapada con un ataque a poco más de tres kilómetros para el final y luego aguantó en solitario la embestida que intentaron a dúo Cameron Meyer, del Orica-GreenEdge, y Juan Antonio Flecha, del Sky, respectivamente. Ellos tres fueron los más listos o los más fuertes de una aventura en las que les acompañaron Simon Clarke, también del Orica, Linus Gerdemann, del RadioShack-Nissan, Thomas De Gendt, del Vacansoleil-DCM, y Elia Viviani, del Liquigas-Cannodale, el más rápido y el primero en descolgarse. Como líder continúa Joaquim Rodríguez, del Katusha Team, quien mantiene 13 segundos sobre Alberto Contador, del Saxo Bank-Tinkoff Bank, segundo, y 51 segundos sobre Chris Froome, del Sky, tercero.
