Moose make it 11 in a row and win it by a final score of 6-2! Goals came from Nathan MacKinnon (2), Jonathan Drouin (2), Ashley and Gazzola. Zach with 16 saves in the win. 8500+ went home happy Saturday as the Herd take it by a final score of 3-2 in a shootout. Ciampini opened the scoring with his first, while Andrews followed him up notching his 2nd of the season. Overtime would solve nothing as the teams heade d to a shootout. Nate scored a beauty to put us ahead while Drouin followed him up with an equally awesome goal. What a game. Nathan MacKinnon scored half way through the 3rd period to give the Mooseheads a 3-2 win Friday night forcing a game 6 in front of 9,664 very loud Moose fans. Trey Lewis and Cameron Critchlow added goals for the Moose in the game. Zach Fucale was sensational in the win making 24 saves and collecting an assist. Jonathan Drouin added 2 assists for the Herd as well. The Moose will now travel to Quebec City Sunday in prep for Game 6 Monday night at Le Colissee. We'll be tweeting live from Quebec City as the Moose try to force a Game 7 after being down 3-0 in the series.
The Quebec Remparts walked into the Metro Centre Tuesday night and have taken a stranglehold on the Halifax Mooseheads 2011-12 season. The Remparts stormed back from a 1-0 and 3-1 deficits for a 5-3 win Tuesday night before a large boisterous crowd of over 8,200 Mooseheads fans. The two teams were tied at 3-3 heading into the 3rd period. A Michael McNamee hat trick goal would prove to be the winner for the Remparts. Scoring for the Mooseheads were Matthew Boudreau, Alex Grenier and Konrad Abeltshauser. The Remparts were the better team most of the night outshooting the Herd 37-22. Zach Fucale made 32 saves in goal for the Herd, several of the highlight variety.
