Timnas Indonesia sukses melaju ke semi final Piala AFF 2020. Kepastian ini seusai Asnawi Mangkualam dan kawan-kawan menang telak atas Malaysia dengan skor 4-1 di Stadion Nasional, Singapura, Minggu (19/12). Delapan tim, empat dari U-16 dan empat yang lainnya berasal dari kelompok umur U-18 berhak melaju ke babak semifinal Mola Elite Pro Academy, setelah bertarung sengit di babak 8 besar. Pertandingan semifinal akan di adakan pada rabu (24/11/2021). Mola Elite Pro Academy (EPA) 2021 merupakan liga sepak bola kelompok usia muda yang dikelola, diselenggarakan dan dikendalikan oleh PSSI. Diselenggarakan untuk pertama kalinya pada tahun 2018. Sistem ini mencakup kelompok usia di bawah 16 tahun sejak 2018, di bawah 18 dan di bawah 20 tahun sejak 2019.
