The Thunder battled with the Waterloo Black Hawks in front of a record 3,700 at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum to open the 2015-16 season. Bloomington had the second largest crowd of the USHL's opening weekend behind the Sioux Falls Stampede at 8,800.
