Utah Jazz Record Setting 1st Quarter Should Have The League On Notice
Utah Jazz Record Setting 1st Quarter Should Have The League On Notice

After blowing a 3-1 series lead against the Denver Nuggets in the Bubble, the Jazz weren't about to make the same mistake twice. And with a 3-1 heading into Game 4 against Memphis, the Jazz put the Grizzlies to bed in the first quarter, scoring a record setting 47 points in the first and jumping out to a 20 point lead. In this video, we break down what the Jazz did right, and why it should have the rest of the league worried about them. Let me know what you think in the comments!

LeBron's IQ - Why He Isn't Declining On The Court
LeBron's IQ - Why He Isn't Declining On The Court

LeBron's photographic memory and work ethic have placed him in rare territory among the greats of basketball. He already had a decorated resume that could compete with anyone going into the 2019-2020 season, but he is cementing himself as a legend in new ways, by adapting his game as his body ages. It's not very apparent that he's aging when you see him dunk over multiple defenders, but his hair line would beg to differ. The fact that athletic freaks like the regular season MVP could become so irrelevant in the playoffs, while LeBron tears it up year after year, indicates to me that there's something more to his game than athleticism and raw talent. Over his years of mistakes at the highest level, and moments of success at the highest level, he has perfected his craft and fortified his knowledge of the game to become nearly unbeatable. In this video we show some examples of his IQ and photographic memory giving him that extra lift when the defense loads up on him. How the Nuggets Exploited the Jazz Defense Despite Being Undermanned
How the Nuggets Exploited the Jazz Defense Despite Being Undermanned

In a game that was there for the taking for the Utah Jazz, they squandered a great opportunity to win against a division rival at home, while their opponent was missing many key players. The Nuggets almost had to suit up their head coach due to a lack of bodies, but they were still able to give the Jazz trouble defensively despite any adjustment the Jazz made. Jamal Murray's ability to create space in pick and roll situations, and make shots out of that space, caused the Jazz to make multiple adjustments. No matter what the Jazz did, if Murray didn't punish them, Jokic did. Let me know what you think in the comments! Heat Embarrass Sixers with Zone Defense
Heat Embarrass Sixers with Zone Defense

In the modern NBA, you'll sometimes see games in which both teams run zone defense. This almost never used to happen, but zones are becoming more popular. This is a game that featured both teams use both zone and man to man defenses at times. The Heat's offense was unstoppable, executing well and playing with great force and effort. The Sixers could score a decent amount against the Heat's zone, but they were clearly confused at how to execute effectively against it well enough to beat a hot team. Twitter: @drawing_defense
