St Patrick's Athletic are the 2021 Extra.ie FAI Cup Champions after a final that went all the way to penalties. St Patrick's Athletic broke the deadlock in extra time thanks to a superb solo effort from Chris Forrester before Bohemians levelled through a bullet header from Rory Feely. Robbie Benson stepped up to take the decisive penalty in the shootout, claiming the historic trophy for the fourth time in St Patrick's Athletic history, and first since 2014.

UCD will be playing Premier Division football next season after a comeback win at Richmond Park in the 2021 Promotion/Relegation Play-Off. Waterford took an early lead through Anthony Wordsworth before UCD responded with two first half strikes from Dara Keane and First Division top scorer Colm Whelan to secure their place in next year's top flight, resigning Waterford to relegation.

A turbulent season for Dundalk ended in defeat as Derry City came from behind to claim a 2-1 win and fourth place. The Candystripes will be hoping for a St. Patrick's Athletic win in next weekend's Extra.ie FAI Cup Final which would give them European football next season.
