Catching RARE BASEBALLS at Great American Ball Park
What's the deal with these balls and how did I get them? How can YOU get one? Here's a hint: go see the San Francisco Giants. They were at Great American Ball Park to play the Cincinnati Reds on Mike Moustakas bobblehead day -- so it was actually kinda crowded, at least in the outfield seats where I was trying to catch a home run ball. Shoutout to Kai Correa and Alyssa Nakken for tossing baseballs to me during batting practice. And thanks to Austin for buying me pizza. The Boston Red Sox took on the Oakland Athletics, and even though there were under 10,000 fans, there was still tremendous energy. I snagged a bunch of baseballs during batting practice including one that was already autographed! Then I signed the famous Pesky Pole down the right field line, got a peek inside the dugout before the game, and had a great seat on the 1st base side for all the action. WEIRDEST BASEBALL ever? I found this at Camden Yards!
I had heard about these striped baseballs but never expected to snag one at an MLB game, and FYI, the stripe DOES have a purpose. I talked about it after finding this ball (and several others!) in the right field seats. Very strange. For the second straight day, the Baltimore Orioles faced the New York Yankees. I wandered all around the stadium, had some great outfield seats, ate a meal in an unusual spot, got a bunch of baseballs thrown to me by the players, nearly caught a ground-rule double, and saw an exciting finish in extra innings.
