After the defeat to Chelsea, we had to get a victory against Wolves to maintain any chance of qualifying for the Champions League through the league. And results went for us - defeats for Leicester and draws for Chelsea and Manchester United giving us hope, but a Spurs side with no strikers was going to be an intriguing view! Premier League 19/20: Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur; Matchday Twenty Six
A six-match unbeaten run was to be tested after the mid-season break as Spurs travelled to Villa Park to take on relegation-threatened Aston Villa. Our last forays against relegation-threatened teams have been mixed, taking four hard points off Norwich City in the quick double-header and losing to Southampton dismally. But currently buoyed by victories over Manchester City in the league and Southampton in the cup, Crisandro headed to the West Midlands expecting a win, but not in the manner it arrived. Spurs had done well since the arrival of the Special One, but as Wolves will tell you, they believe that "Nuno's the Special One" in these parts. As they were on an eleven-match unbeaten run, this would be a good test for Mourinho's Spurs as we look to get our second consecutive league win away from home and to continue the steady march back to the top end of the table. Let us know what you think of it**A special episode of this programme sees Crisandro visit Bayern Munich's impressive Campus ground which hosts the club's youth and women's teams. After our impressive victory against the Serbian champions at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, we head over to Belgrade in the last of the double-header to put some daylight between us and the third placed teams. With Bayern MΓΌnchen expected to beat Olympiacos on the same matchday, we had the chance to firmly put qualification to the Round of 16 in our own hands before we faced the Greek champions ourselves in the coming fortnight.
