In the 130th Durand Cup, FC Goa won their second consecutive match in Group B. Amidst the heavy rainfall in Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK), a.k.a. Salt Lake Stadium, FC Goa smashed Sudeva Delhi FC by a 2-1 goal, thus making their way to the quarter finals. Almost at the end of the first half, Muhammed Nemil scored a solitary goal, giving the ISL team a lead. In the latter half, Jorge Ortiz Mendoza scored another goal for the team, making FC Goa secure a place in the knockouts. Sudeva Delhi FC’s William Pauliankhu scored the lone goal for his team in the 98th minute. The Man of the Match award was given to Seriton Benny Fernandes, who is also the captain of the team.
