In this Knicks news conference, head coach Tom Thibodeau thinks people are deceived into thinking practicing hard and pushing a player to peak conditioning is detrimental. Thibodeau: "You have to prepare yourself to play a long season." He had an extensive conversation with NBA great Michael Jordan about what he did to prepare for a season and was an assistant coach for the 2008 NBA champion Boston Celtics who were a "great practice team." He pointed out that some injuries occur because a player is, "not conditioned well enough" and that you have to do what's best for your team.
