Men's Basketball Highlights - SMU 84, USF 65
DALLAS (AP) -- Semi Ojeleye scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Jarrey Foster had 17 points and 12 rebounds, and SMU won its 10th straight on Saturday with an 84-65 win over South Florida. Sterling Brown added a season-high 19 points to go with five rebounds and five assists for the Mustangs (14-3, 4-0 American Athletic), who have won 15 straight at home (11 this season). South Florida (6-8, 0-3) led 11-10 early in the first half, but the Bulls scored just three points in the next eight minutes, allowing SMU to take a 28-14 lead with 6:55 left. The Bulls pulled to 46-41 with 16:10 remaining but the Mustangs responded with a 6-0 run and led by as many as 23 in the second half. Troy Holston led USF with 20 points and six 3-pointers, both career highs. SMU outrebounded South Florida 39-23. The Mustangs have outrebounded all four conference opponents by at least 16. The Mustangs hit the road for their next contest on Thursday, Jan. 12 when they play at Cincinnati. Tip-off is slated for 8:00 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on ESPN.
Women's Basketball: SMU at East Carolina
GREENVILLE, N.C. – Antoinette Bannister hit the game-winning three-pointer and Bre McDonald logged her fifth double-double of the season as East Carolina downed SMU 58-57 for its first American Athletic Conference victory of the campaign Saturday afternoon inside Minges Coliseum. Team Records: East Carolina (10-6, 1-2 AAC) | SMU (10-5, 1-1 AAC) Bre McDonald notched 16 points and 10 rebounds while adding a game-high six assists. Bannister was the hero of the game, hitting a banked three-pointer with 15 seconds left in regulation, and was second on the team in scoring with 12 points. It marked the fourth time this season Bannister has accounted for the game-winning points for ECU. Kristen Gaffney was the third Pirate in double figures with 11 points to go along with five rebounds. SMU's Alicia Froling had a game-high 22 points in the Mustangs' first loss of AAC play. She shot 66.6 percent from the free throw line (8-for-12) and was 7-for-12 from the field while grabbing a game-best 15 rebounds. McKenzie Adams added 15 points and five rebounds for SMU. East Carolina shot 43.1 percent from the field and 50 percent from downtown in the win. The Pirates held SMU to 27.1 percent from the field and forced 20 Mustang turnovers. SMU won the battle on the glass, outrebounded ECU 46-34 and had 21 offensive rebounds. The Pirate bench contributed 18 points in the win.

2016 American Football Highlights - Memphis 24, Tulane 14
NEW ORLEANS -- Darrell Henderson had two long touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving, to lead Memphis to a 24-14 victory over Tulane on Friday night. Henderson turned a screen pass from Riley Ferguson into a 46-yard scoring play late in the first half to give the Tigers (5-1, 2-0 American) a 13-7 lead. Early in the fourth quarter he went off right tackle and cut to the sideline for a 45-yard run that made it 24-7. Jake Elliott, who became the Tigers' career scoring leader a week ago, kicked three field goals and made his 171st extra point without a miss, the longest active streak in FBS. He has 381 points, and has 10 field goals from 50-plus yards on 14 attempts. Phil Mayhue caught a pass in his 22nd straight game, moving into a four-way tie, which includes former NFL great Isaac Bruce, for seventh on the Memphis list. Glen Cuiellette's 20-yard TD pass to Kendall Ardoin put the Green Wave (3-3, 0-2) ahead 7-3 but his pass was picked off at the Memphis 1 with 5:59 to play, one of three Tulane turnovers.
